Come to think of it, I can trust Keishi Nishikida, who gets 50% of the manga's profits and doesn't have a “golden goose” like Katsura or Karami Zakari. It's even possible that Keishi Nishikida is writing the last three chapters and chapter 136 as part of damage control, which is why these latest chapters feel strange and disjointed.

I feel that way too. Many people here have ever said the chapter 134 seemed to be disjointed to chapter 132 and 133. IMHO and my Kadansha friend's opinion, chapter 132 and 133 made many people think that the story will continue for many chapters by using the misunderstanding as the main element. But then chapter 134 came and said Grapara will end in chapter 136 !

Part of me is glad it's ending so there's no more baiting (even though 135 might be baiting as we speak). A fair part of me is also sad it's ending. Artist will have future projects more than likely, but man did I get oddly attached to this cast: Shinobu, Sakura, queen Mio, Fumi, Chico, Nagi (but not really), even Ryusei. Glad I won't have to see fucboi and blonde anymore soon at least.
