She is the real deal who has achieved success in both hentai doujin and mainstream manga while AK (sensei) failed.
There are several reasons why I myself believed this manga would succeed right from the first chapter. LOL
For instance,
it came from a successful doujin by fans' request to see its manga adaptation, meaning there were already waiting customers. So the author is confident she can sell its tankoubon (volume) till she made the cover of
volume 2 after a few chapters were released! LOL Of course, she can predict the amount of sales from the doujin version's sales but it's still underestimated to the point of requiring reprints just one day after the official sales of the
volume 1. LOL
Another factor is that,
after the COVID-19 crisis, three genres people sought out were rom-com, revenge and life changing. This manga is a
genuine rom-com that is clearly
funny with
erotic element.
It serves people's need unlike Grapara which is a totally fake rom-com (no comedy, only tragedies).
AK (sensei) is dishonest and doesn't create Grapara into an NTR love comedy as promised with Kodansha and Keishi Nishikida sensei.
Personally,
I believe Kodansha fired AK (sensei) before chapter 129 was released, so she had Sakura raped and spread a rape-obsessed ideology in chapter 135 out of spite to ruin the story and it's the reason why
KN sensei agreed to draw whatever she wanted as
Grapara must end in
chapter 136 or 137 anyway. It wasn't a case of her being fired after making
chapter 129.
Maybe it is as @diphuc1 said that AK (sensei) isn't involved with Grapara anymore and making the volume 14 is now KN sensei's responsibility.
that manga is really good, I just hope they don't keep adding girls, I liked the new one more than the teacher but I hope they stick to those three, I could probably tolerate a fourth but I hope it doesn't turn into a simple harem for the mc.

This manga is the expanded version of one of her successfully doujin. And based on the original ending of the doujin version
volume 2 (link here), it's not a harem ending.
So, IMHO, you don't have to worry. You can also send your request on the author's X (https://x.com/tatsuwaipu). She's a funny manga artist who enjoys taking with fans, she's not stubborn as AK (sensei). LOL
However, the author jokingly mentioned that the manga has switched from weekly to bi-weekly publishing, so there won't be a new chapter for a week though she's already finished writing chapter 17! LOL (This implies your request to change anything before chapter 18 is difficult, and we also don't know what happens in chapter 12-17. So, we don't know what to ask for. LOL)
