I assume comment talking about the going from Fumi back to Sakura...oomf. "Things got too awkward" line from Fumi was something, and probably the same thing happened between Sakura and Fucboi offscreen after she took that first offer. The writing is bad but the "parallels" are still there, Shinobu with that FAWKING PEN, and Sakura putting on the necklace Shinobu got for her.

Honestly though, even if they didn't force a ShiKura ending, having only seven chapters to follow up on something like that is tough. Some of the chapters went ok'ish but the last two ended up being the worst, and throughout all of it still not a single conversation between the two MC's on panel (they probably met up a few times for planning before the ending shoot we see).

Or it was about it going to full netorare at least that what I thought he was saying that really ruined the whole flow of the story.

Also also, "Hounta Wa Watashi ga Ii Desho" didn't full commit, MC stays winning since both girls want him and the other guy gets left hanging apparently, it's a bit weird now.

Do you think the other ntr author's might of gotten so purified that they will start making good ending version of their work were the rapist ntr guy lose's?

The Mikage one is really good, i saw part 2 a few days ago... It's probably selling way better than his NTR work, since it will obviously continue, judging by the ending.
I think i also saw like 2-3 more NTR artists going vanilla recently. My only real guess is people got sick of the stale over used plot all of them constantly use, so the sales are not on the level the artists want. It's hard to be unique in that genre to satisfy their fans, while in vanilla it's really easy. Slap a cute or cool sexy girl, do a wholesome setup, profit. Then add another girl for a threesome in the next few parts and profit even more lol

But one thing is funny, all of them reassure the fans on the last page/twitter that these works will stay NTR free... Maybe this is the real "Grapara effect"

This is an interesting thought, and it maintains Airi's parallels agenda, but Fumi and Fucboi really did not mirror one another well lmao. It'd be a stretch but you could say Fumi throwing herself as Shinobu when he was still a bit hung up on Sakura sort of tracks with what Fucboi did, but the difference here is that Shinobu's mental state wasn't exactly 1 to 1 with Sakura's since he's had more time to reflect, so the setup wasn't perfect. Even if it was, fan reception wouldn't change.

Very few do, if any. Mikage for example won't go back to his NTR works and change anything. The one's that do either had a plan in mind from or wanted to appease vanilla enjoyers that got somehow baited by tags. Off the top of my head I think only Ichinomiya Yuu, and Syuukurin have done someting to that effect, although the "true end" for Syuukurin's Kimi na wa doujin ended up being NTR anyway lmfao.

Yea I probably overthought it a bit. It's all fun and games playing with NTR bait in a manga till the creator ends up eating their own bait I guess. If it must happen, it needed to be way earlier to leave more room for the after effects because there were way too many holes even if Airi tried her best after...

Maybe I got the wrong work but didn't the "One week of Love Over 10 Years" have that bad ending where the wife leaves him completely in the end by part 3.

If I remember correctly, there's a time jump at the end where we learn that the MC separated from the FMC because he suspected the daughter wasn't his (wise decision). I think the MC ended up alone, and that FMC bitch remarried and lived happily ever after with her daughter. I don't remember much, but I think that's how it ended.

I see! I did some more digging and found the epilogue+ bit which I missed. MC found his own happy family with an unnamed new girl and it looks like at some point we'll be getting a part 4 centered around FMC and her daughter because Mikage really likes Mizuki.

The bull got the worst ending, will be interesting where the story decides to go for part 4 though, I predict FMC will find a nice new man that'll support her and her daughter. Reconnecting with both MC or the bull seems like an odd decision, would have to be some really weird plot points for that to happen.

Well I googled it and holy shit the ntr was controversial apparently there are some issues between the writer Arir and the artist.

Which may be why it seemed like vol. 13 cover was AI generated so now I wonder if it was? Has no cover yet.

I also thought that cover was AI at first! Like the black hair on Sakura out of nowhere was a dead giveaway that something wasn't right. I still remember the discussions about it, how it was meant to be a the contrast of those two... But that all fell apart when Fumi was thrown under the bus.

That's crazy because the artist before all this felt lke an Airi super fan. Wonder how it felt getting the idea from Airi + Editor and then having to work on it even if they didn't like the idea. It's all done and dusted now but I wonder if they're both working on the bonus or if it's just one of them.

I have the belief that the covers of volumes 12 and 13 are very different from the previous ones, as if they had changed the design too much idk.

The ending still felt like it was Airi writing (never read any of the Artist's originals) enough even though the last two chapters were a bit on the deeper end weird/incoherent writing.

I agree that it's by Airi, the ending felt similar to Megami to Ichinen (this one much better developed).

The fact that they've postponed the release of the final volume by another month only means that Kodansha didn't like the final version at all, and perhaps forced Katsura to rewrite some scenes.

There are many creative differences between Kodansha and Katsura. I think the extra scenes were originally intended for chapter 129, but Kodansha flatly refused and forced her to rewrite it.
