I checked the raws up to chapter 57 and so far the main fmc does rejects all NTR move the other characters tries to do although I agree that this isn't for a frail person to read because of the heavily implied NTR that could potentially occur.

I actually think this is a great manga if you look at it as a commentary on the Japanese entertainment industry. Women get lied to and recruited into companies under the pretense of being an idol/actress/gravure but instead get forced into JAV, women get offered "pillow business" often and sometimes have their future career prospects denied because they refused to sleep with a producer/director/ect., women get used till they're no longer popular and are forced to do even more humiliating/degrading things to stay relevant or go back home from Tokyo.

The Japanese entertainment industry is as bad as the Hollywood industry is. While you have other series like 13-sai where the industry is portrayed more professionally, though it still shows the issues of power abuse, it can be said that this is a good companion piece to that or something like Hagure Idol which is similar to this series in tone/portrayal of the sexual abuse in the industry.

This IS a great manga… but it isn’t a morality tale or exposé, if that is what you are implying. This is 100 percent meant to be salacious. But Airi Katsura does this while also putting in a lot more thought and care into the characters than your standard erotic manga.

It's "great" in the same way a lot of niche manga are in that it's good at being emotionally manipulative.

I wouldn't say this is a bad job done by the mangaka but the writing isn't anything "new" in that I can guess with 99% certainty what's going to happen next after just seeing the set up for an arc. With the only guess I don't feel confident in being what will happen with the main couple. My assumption is, based on the author's proclivities and past work, that they'll enter a pseudo ntr relationship. With the "other guy" not being a specific tangible male, but Sak's fans/the general public.

I'd say Sundome is imo the greatest non-h ero manga I've read so I'm gonna judge this series quality based on that. In that case it definitely falls short.

Plot is this. MC loves this girl who wants to be a star. He dedicates his life to her. He is stabbed, beaten up multiple times and treated like shit in her defence. He loves her, she pretty much knows this.

She is pretty naive and insecure. Willing to do anything to make it. If she is left alone for five minutes she ends up having sex with others. At the start it is people coercing her, later it's voluntarily.

A lot of rape and forced sex being treated as comedy. What the fuck is wrong with Japan.

As far as I can see the plot is moving to this comedy where the main character ends up like the ultimate cuckold. This is apparently NTR comedy.

Treated as comedy? I literally thought this was like psychological horror.
