Ok, it's time to start taking bets. Odds are favouring the annual release.

Yay it's back! I love this series, but the cliffs are sometimes too high to hang from.

Not yet~!
Here's the end of volume 5 (finally, only 6 months later)! Because of such delays, we are going to be doing a time-saving measure of eliminating the SFX redraws from this point on (or until we get another person who is skilled at doing them quickly on the team). So, hopefully and not like a broken record, chapters should be released more frequently than this slow pace of 1-2 a year at this point.

We apologize for the delays, but remember: we do this for free~
Thanks~!

I understand what the author is going for, but for the life of me I can't get interested in seeing pages and pages of what is essentially war-fluff while the main character(s) get one 'scene' every five chapters.
All that stuff with the tank in chapter 19-20-21 could have been summed up as a throw-away line in the background somewhere. The only thing that you get out of all that is that this civil war is quasi racial, but not completely, and that brings some amount of who-dun-it troubles whenever info gets leaked (which just happens in war anyway).
The worst part in the later chapters is that not only is the main character mostly out of sight, she is also not being active. Unlike the farmhouse attack mini-arc, where she was constantly being kept at hand thematically, now she did her bit and basically faded away. Maybe it would be easier to take if I'd started reading this far in the future, and I would have sailed over these chapters back-to-back but I'm stuck reading one chapter every other months, following event and characters I simply cannot bring myself to care about.

Maybe that's what I'll do actually, drop this temporarily and pick it back up when the Miura-boat has sailed past this arc completely.

Best dark war manga that goes on to cover all the great tragedies what war brings to ones own home. From war crimes, ptsd, civilian casualties, loss of life, racism, bigotry, discrimination, this manga surely does hit the marker on the tragedies that follow in wars wake. There's the saying that there is no right or wrong in war, and this manga hits that point on very well.
I literally cried my eyes out in volume 8 that I read on bookwalker. We see the blonde lady with glasses whose one of the leaders of the liberation army give an impassioned speech to the enemy soldiers across the battlefield trying to mend things out unsuccessfully only to be shot by Sophia on orders from the higher ups. Everyone on Sophia's side including Sophia herself is literally happy, crying tears of joy for having shot the key woman whose rebellion is the reason their island has turned into a war zone and they have lost so many loved ones and precious comrades. In order to not make a martyr out of her they decide then and there to burn her body so her ashes wash away in the sand as shown in the front of volume 8 as they all surround her in a group hug as the commander lights her afire. In the last chapter of the volume we see just how innocent the woman was as she just wanted to help the natives of the island but unfortunately her ideals were merely hijacked by the radicals who wanted armed rebellion by force instead so in her last ditch effort choose to naively give a speech hoping someone would listen to her but unfortunately her impassioned speech fell on deaf ears. It's so sad seeing her record herself being just herself and acting so childlike and innocent before she dresses up in a nice suit and goes outside to her death.

Its strange and a bit boring , the MC dissapears 19 or so, and you get a lot of stuff on characters that at are nit interesting ( imo ) . The tank commander I dont get if she`s a traitor, incompetent or both.

Its because its a group comprised of 4chan users. Especially the anime and firearms image boards. Anime boards aka /a/ and firearms boards aka /k/. They translated a lot of firearms related manga series. Afaik, their most beloved series seems to be Upotte. I guess one of the requirement for a manga for them to be translated is cute girls, with fairly accurate depiction of firearms and history. The last part is sort of connected to why the eagle nazi like logo. /a and /k board members, at least those who frequently go to each boards, like romantisizing WW2. Which part of WW2, take a guess.
