she consider herself an outsider en several ways. she even call herself unnatural.
a dragon destroy a country that didnt had ways to deal with it is the normal course of nature on this world.
we know hat she probably is strong enough to deal with everything that we were shown till now, all at the same time. (probably 10 times). but she dont. because its unnatural.
her way of thinking is quite simple: she has the power equivalent to a "hero" or even maybe a demigod. but all she want is to live a simple life, and not save the world every week while an army of people makes a religion around her, and another army makers her a heretic. she simply see the bigger picture and, although it conflicts with her personal feelings, she tries to follow them as best as she can.

@Hollow7F People come to ask for tips from her is one thing.
She meddling in things by herself to change the outcome is another.

"You cant be a guide if u let ur student fall of a cliff when u hold the map."
It's more like they (students) wanted to wander near a cliff even without the guide (her) handing them a map.

Being a guide is not holding your students hands at every corner, but supporting them when they ask for help to improve and get less dependable of a guide.
She isn't obligated to participate in a premature fight against a dragon that made 0 casualties so far (excluding in the fight itself as of now), and if her tips were so damn valuable in their opinion, they would've put a lot more on preparation time and trying to convince her instead of YOLO'ing the fight.

They decided to fight anyway, only thing left for her was observe and live her life.
She have a reason to move when it involves someone close to her, that in itself don't means she have to, but that she can.
