Exactly, she couldn't even do anything back then because she was still a child, powerless. Even if she was there at the time of Shroud's death, she couldn't do anything to save him. Now she has a power that can stop from something similar happening again. I'd like to find someone who could say they wouldn't go back in time to right their mistakes if they already had the capability. FMC here is acting to avoid that outcome.

Character development wise, you want your protagonist to grow, not stay stagnant. So obviously she can't continue being the receptionist or avoiding her past traumas. Hence why famous party guild guy finds out who she is etc etc

BUT! Personal enjoyment wise, I'd rather this story be SoL, her dealing with being a receptionist and upgrading her house little by little. Guess this one is not for me.
