I must have read too much villainess stories. Kinda tired of the "i go back in time and learnt my lesson but for some reason prince sama is attracted to me now". I think im more tired of how shallow the fmc's personality is. "I was a retard with nothing else but retardation and now im someone who learnt my lesson". People dont just change. Sure death can change you but theres still a need for basis and foundation in the character personality. If she was haughty previously then she should still have some of that characteristic even after learning humility. Its ingrained and habbitualized after living like that for life. Or maybe cause the character was and maybe is still retarded, she can be like that? Im for sure judging too early.

This is a some more info i gathered reading the MTL and is regarding the Saint so spoilers

The Saint (Anna)
-At first she kinda acted like a white lotus and I was kinda dissapointed that the story was going with this setup.(But theres more to it than what it seems)
-Her approach towards the prince is rather tame and she doesnt go with it really aggresively
-Rachel notes that the Saint have a differrent attitude than the first timeline.
-She tries to get close to prince but if it doesnt work, Anna doesnt go rant on why things are going like the game etc.
-Anna turns out is a transmigrater, but only on the 2nd timeline but not tue first.
-Unlike other villanness white lotus plot. Anna actually have a valid reason why she wants to get married to Prince.
-She believe that by achieving one of the game endings, she can return back to her own world (and here the story gets really sad)
-She was a Japanese girl in her previous life and lived a happy life and have a crush on her neighbour (named Makoto), her name on MTL is Apricot (lmao) so i just call her past name A-chan.
-One day A-chan was involved in an accident and before she died, Makoto was there and witnessed it all.
-Her reason to go back to her previous world was so she could say farewell to Makoto one last time (he was her first love)
-When she was transmigrated to Anna body, she had difficulty adjusting to the current world be knows it is based on a game she played.
-as stated, she believe by reaching an ending. She will return to previous world.
-She acted like white lotus but after seeing how prince and rachel have close relationship, she fell guilty on trying to ruin such relationship.
-Once she was chosen as saint, the current king wants the prince annul his engagement to Rachel and marries the Saint instead (Note the prince is against it but the king see no value in marrying rachel who no longer have magic)
-Prince visit Saint and saint have a mental breakdown shouting that she just wants to go home.
-Saint later visit Rachel and tells her about her past life and why she tried to marry the prince.
-Her memories of A-chan is slowly fading away and being take over by thr memories of Anna. She can no longer remember her parents and surname, only remember her name and past crush Makoto.
-Rachel and Saint become friends at this point, but each time they meet saint forget part of her previous life.
-Saint says she have to move on and as long as she can remember at least Makoto, she is fine with it.
-After meeting again with Rachel, Rachel asked Anna does she know anyone namef Makoto. Anna by this time have lost all of het past memories and doesnt remember Makoto anymore.
-This caused Rachel to feel really sad because aside from her, no one will know that A-chan once existed in Anna body.

Dark yet gonna put this in my story idea.

-If you read my previous spoiler, the Prince chef Samuel is kinda unique since he cooks JP food.
-Anna while visiting Rachel ate one of Samuel food, and tears started to roll from her eyes.
-She says she remember this taste, and quickly rushed out and chased Samuel.
-Instead of calling out Samuel, Anna instead calls out Makoto...and Samuel responded
-Turns out Semuel is Makoto, but in his case. Makoto was reborn as Samuel not transmigrated (A-chan transfer to 15 year old Anna)
-So the unexpected happened and this two lovers are reunited.
-Anna will continue her saint training but wishes to work under Rachel so she could be close to Samuel now.

Fuck you now its making me in tears, mixed of sadness and happy

I had to read all the Web novel MTL because this story really has a good start and I dont want to be dissapointed with cliche story on later part.

The story is really great by far, Rachel slowly learns how her past behavior was really toxic. Instead of the usual, i shud just avoid doing this or that cliche, Rachel works hard to further improve herself instead (not her using past knowledge to cheat her way out)
Prince is also not an asshole but really decent, he slowly opens his heart to Rachel and was really loyal to her.

For me this series is 100% worth to follow, jist sad the update is slow T.T

question. Does her original power is permanently gone gone? or there's a way for her original power to return though?

As far as the WN goes. No, she has fully adapted to her new power of darkness and no hint of her gaining back her original power so far (the WN is still ongoing)

The last I read the WN, After the academy/Saint arc, the story focus on uncovering the truth about Rachel's death and the arc focus on them visiting back the place where she died in her past life. Sadly this arc has lots of mumbo jumbo that MTL is just bad at translating. But the TLDR is that it involves some ancient power and Rachel's darkness power has attracted unwanted attention.
