NGL, it always throws me off when otherworld natives use Earth based sayings. Like why in all that's holy would a matriarchal society use the phrase "Son of a bitch"? I mean sure this is a relitively minor example, but in a world where men are little more then breeders, women wouldn't really include masculine terms in their daily vocabulary.
I look at this as a translation thing. Not Japanese to English, but Fantasy Isekai Language to whatever language the story is told in. It also explains why 'fantasy world' or 'sci-fi world' uses 'meters' and 'kilograms' instead of 'yolgs' and 'gios' or whatever. It's convenient translation to something we understand.

That said, it really can be too much if they start throwing in modern slang or whatever.

Which is something I do as well. However that practice falls apart when members of a matriarchal society start using masculine idioms and phrases. Especially when you get into the more skewed settings where it's not just that females dominate the social order, but vastly out number the men by orders of magnitude. And even more so when men are treated like effeminate second class citizens who have no ability to work, and barely any human rights. Or worse little better then breeding stock.

So even if the insult was casting aspersions about his mother's race and sexual promiscuity, they wouldn't translate into anything with a masculine component because those phrases would be completely alien in their society.

That's fair. At the same time, in a society like that, calling someone a "son of a bitch" could be even worse than it is IRL. Maybe the equivalent of calling a man in a highly patriarchal society a "weak girl with a pathetic father".

That said, I do think it was just what the translator chose and has no extra meaning like the above to it. Was just an interesting thought.

Because having a bunch of idiots yelling "YoU!¡" with different intonation, and levels emotional states just seems stupid.

She says "Te-temee!" in the original, which roughly translates to "you bastard" or any form of insult you could come up with.

Much like "anata", "kimi", "omae", "nanji", "sonata", etc., "temee" is another word that means "you" but has a completely different connotation from the others, being a derogatory form of addressing someone.

It's not exactly wrong to translate "temee" as "son of a bitch", but if taking in consideration the context of it being another world where women vastly outnumber men, then yes, it is a bad way of translating it in this particular instance.

Not to poopoo on your efforts or explanation, but this has been explained in much the same manner about three other times. One of which is near to top of this page. You've even come close to my response to each of the comments in your conclusion.

Cheers anyway.
