What a great breakup scene! The hallway slap was such a reversal from the usual ostentatious gathering and bullying issues in interesting ways. It was cramped, focus was on a panicking maid, and yet everything still turns sharply to the villain getting
slapped punched and broken up with. How would that even be animated? It's all the better because it wasn't some scenic epic situation, it was Almelia taking a small and politically inopportune step, too late for excuses, out of nowhere and for little from nobility POV. The prince is just selfish scum obsessed with his moral high ground, but breaking the engagement is something he can probably speed up... Forget what his maid said about not treating Almelia well, he's shit to any third parties even if he's usually a gilded turd.
And the relationship development! Almelia made a fast decision preferring her true love, and Serina got repeatedly hit by how this world differs from the game and became even more deeply comitted.
Worldbuilding though? How much faith should we have in the creator? We didn't get mecha-Serina, but her knowledge did give away a lot to Almelia this chapter so it's not zero consequences. Robotics fits a fantasy setting but it's still almost never treated with the real depth and trauma of IRL prosthetics, so I'm not upset about the handwaving. Genetic info is probably too cheaty to go far outside of a science focused novel. But. Almelia can gain a lot from her future lover.
Enough gushing... there was some handwaving along the way but this is my favorite chapter so far. So pivotal. Now kiss.
