Your group leader was banned from MD because he threatened us with legal action if we did not remove chapters belonging to Luminare Translation. An insincere apology followed by him creating an alternate account and a fake group to reupload his chapters less than a day later doesn't count for much.

He said he would report it to Mayonaka’s author and Mayonaka’s team the manga has offical English translation done by Kondansha U.S and also has dmca at the same time doesn't matter whatever i say this guy has the power to make my statements invalid. Legal action means reporting the whole website’s work and filing a big case against it. Even a 5-year-old would understand that easily. So please don’t lie just to keep your “mod aura” in the comment section.

Second, an “insincere apology” and an “alternate account,” you say? All lies. The account was an old, already-joined account with a group leader role. Everything happened in the group leader channel. We saw all the screenshots before our leader left. He apologized way too many times, and I don’t think you’re a god who can judge whether it was sincere or insincere. Those who have the group leader role on the MangaDex server, please go and check the group leader channel yourselves. You’ll eventually find out what actually happened because you won’t believe my words in the first place.

Another lame move you did was that you didn’t instantly ban him from the server. That guy kept apologizing more than six times continuously, one after another, and then you banned him from the server too. Why not ban him instantly if you thought the report was a “legal threat,” mister? Why create such a show?

Third, yes, the group leader has already left, handing everything over to KDT and making the announcement. The group had 14 staff members from different countries, each working on different series. For me, I worked on a series called Laid-Back Harem, and I wanted to work on it again, so I applied to another group with my own completed chapter.

Mister “re-upload his chapters,” another lie. If you wanted to write that, you should’ve written “re-upload his chapter,” not “chapters.” Never mind. That was me trying to re-upload my own completed chapter for Laid-Back Harem because I wanted to continue that series. At the same time, I was on your server asking how much time it would take, but then I shouldn’t say “they,” he rejected it. I don’t know why, honestly.

Everything is still in their server, so everyone can check it themselves. I’m not getting any money here, so why would I lie? If he bans me after this, which he definitely will, that’s just him abusing his power.

I don’t understand is why sniping is a big deal enough to allegedly threaten legal action or get upset about. Personally, as long as the scanlator releases quality chapters I, as a reader, will stick with whoever does it best. Throwing a tantrum about it makes no sense to me.

Regardless, this sounded like it was completely avoidable. Even if it wasn’t a direct legal threat, poking the bear known as Kodansha just because someone sniped yall makes no sense. Batoto recently closed due to a legal case, no doubt MD is wary. Plus reuploading his works after he was banned sounds like a ban evasion so that doesn’t make the situation any better.

Bit of an awkward question, but are we getting the first two chapter's back..? I missed them, cuz I'm behind on reading manga.
