That was quite expected. Unlike what people here are thinking, Isekai sales on the manga industry are laughable with few exceptions here and there like Slime which sells above 300k and is the biggest out there. Manga adaptations of Isekai LN have mediocre/bad sales even when they already have a fanbase from their original media and when you have a original manga like this in a web magazine of all things like Young Ace UP, it's obvious that it won't get sales because of no public for Isekai, not much readership of the magazine and lack of promotion as well.

@SovietWeeb Yuri is trash. What is so appealing about 2 girls together anyway? Vanilla between a girl and a guy is the best.

This chapter was especially poignant. I feel like it was a final declaration from the author to whoever the asshole is who cancelled his manga that "Damnit, my work is revolutionary!". I'm very sad to see this was cancelled. :(

Sad that the story got canceled but I have to say this is a graceful way to end an axed series, just keep it simple and make it short and sweet.

"We got lots of comments telling us they want a sequel."

"Ironic?"

Lmao. Probably how the author feels now.

Finally got around to reading this chapter, since I was sad when I saw it was the final one.

In all, for a wrap-up chapter of an axed series, I feel that it tied things up rather nicely, though. At least there is a sense of closure to the story, unlike a lot of other axed manga I've read where they were completely open-ended & rather unsatisfying with their final chapters.

@AcNano Oh, is that the case? Not sure the author made the right decision to just wrap it up then. Isn't there a chance to get picked up by a different magazine if you have a decent following or is it too complicate intellectual property rights-wise?

I know I talked quite some shit about this manga, but it was one of the more original ones. Well, Kinoshita was the self insert for the target demographic and it made fun of him. This was a big part of making it unique, but also the manga's major flaw, as it induced "minor" rage.
The author turned the bullying down quite a bit by not focusing on him later on and not making him lose everything(fame/money) he earned until the gyarus arrived. Yet still the author had to drive apart Weiss-sama and that sword-princess-heroine as he was Rinka's love interest. Kinoshita losing his own love interest (that sword women) by, yet again, tarnishing his image was necessary, yet it sucked and made it a hard read for the audience.
You can't win this as an author. One can only hope to balance it out. If the author would have shown, that Kinoshita is still very well off and would have sometimes got back at Rinka for being such an annoying bitch, occasionally chipping away at Kinoshita might have not pissed the readers off to much. (Well, the author did some of this: a) Some random gals still had the hots for Weiss-sama. b) He could have left the MCs alone, but decided to help them. By doing so, he also showed the audience, he isn't just this manga's clown)
Sadly, the shitting on the self insert at the beginning and then driving him and his crush apart might have been, what killed the manga.

(Author. Why didn't you introduce a very unlikeable, non-self insert character, to get shitted on, when the bullying of Kinoshita got too bad. Also make it very obvious, that he never had a chance of laying that sword woman to begin with, right from the start. As I see it, he had a good change before the Gyarus showed up and trashed it. Cockblocking tends to make people mad!)

As for the wrap up: Not too bad! I didn't like how Rinka suddenly powered up in the chapter before, but I see why the author was kinda forced to do that to make the event within the timeskip more plausible and to pull this final chapter off. Telling the reader what she/he missed out because of the axing is a good thing to do. This way we know what would have happened, the characters get a closure and the people who axed this might get hate mails. ? There also is a very small chance, it might get picked up again, but I doubt it happening.

(Who could have said, that Rinka and Kinoshita would end up marrying? Nearly every reader.)

@Qelix Oh hey Kinoshita.

The manga was hardly "ruined" because you self inserted into him so hard. You severely overstate how bad the supposed bullying was.

@LordU: Ugbmff...1 month ago...what the f*ck did I wrote one month ago...?
*reading**reading**reading**reading* I write too much. *reading**reading**reading**reading*

Frankly I can't clearly remember if I ever read, that there was bullying of the author. I think, that I did read something about that in the comments somewhere...., but only maybe?

Well, all I certainly remember is, that it got axed. And I do believe I read, that the readers were unhappy. So I thought about, what I didn't like about this manga, and it was how Kinoshita was threaded in the beginning. He worked hard and honestly (implied) and then that.
And then I was going on how the author reduced that bulling, how the manga in itself wasn't bad, what else could have been done, that everything would have work out given time, aso. And I might have went too far in stating, that it must have been the case, even when I was just guessing, I think, as I don't remember the sources anymore.
You severely overstate how bad the supposed bullying was.
You seem to have some source material on this. Please post a link.

All what I found today was a comment on reddit, that stated it wasn't the manga that got axed, but the whole magazine:
https://www.reddit.com/r/manga/comm...nsei_isekai_seikatsu_majidarui_ch_17/ea46nhe/

Guess the shitting on Kinoshita wasn't the reason at all.
