I know I talked quite some shit about this manga, but it was one of the more original ones. Well, Kinoshita was the self insert for the target demographic and it made fun of him. This was a big part of making it unique, but also the manga's major flaw, as it induced "minor" rage.
The author turned the bullying down quite a bit by not focusing on him later on and not making him lose everything(fame/money) he earned until the gyarus arrived. Yet still the author had to drive apart Weiss-sama and that sword-princess-heroine as he was Rinka's love interest. Kinoshita losing his own love interest (that sword women) by, yet again, tarnishing his image was necessary, yet it sucked and made it a hard read for the audience.
You can't win this as an author. One can only hope to balance it out. If the author would have shown, that Kinoshita is still very well off and would have sometimes got back at Rinka for being such an annoying bitch, occasionally chipping away at Kinoshita might have not pissed the readers off to much. (Well, the author did some of this: a) Some random gals still had the hots for Weiss-sama. b) He could have left the MCs alone, but decided to help them. By doing so, he also showed the audience, he isn't just this manga's clown)
Sadly, the shitting on the self insert at the beginning and then driving him and his crush apart might have been, what killed the manga.
(Author. Why didn't you introduce a very unlikeable, non-self insert character, to get shitted on, when the bullying of Kinoshita got too bad. Also make it very obvious, that he never had a chance of laying that sword woman to begin with, right from the start. As I see it, he had a good change before the Gyarus showed up and trashed it. Cockblocking tends to make people mad!)
As for the wrap up: Not too bad! I didn't like how Rinka suddenly powered up in the chapter before, but I see why the author was kinda forced to do that to make the event within the timeskip more plausible and to pull this final chapter off. Telling the reader what she/he missed out because of the axing is a good thing to do. This way we know what would have happened, the characters get a closure and the people who axed this might get hate mails. ? There also is a very small chance, it might get picked up again, but I doubt it happening.
(Who could have said, that Rinka and Kinoshita would end up marrying? Nearly every reader.)
