I wonder if them being gyaru from the start helps with the vibes. Gyaru are naturally often portrayed as more emotionally available and less restrained, so there isn't a lot of need for the standard super shy and distant awkward tropes where people are afraid of relationships and the people they like. It allow for a much more open and honest and balanced relationship when both are like that too, instead of just one partner chasing as a gyaru and the other not and constantly putting up walls like many romantic characters in manga do.

At least how they are presented here they have way less societal clutter in in their daily lives as gyaru. They get more of a pass on norms and don't acknowledge existing stigmas. Even their guidance counselor had a kind of "whelp, that's gyaru for you" and not exactly in a negative way either when they have unconventional goals. It's all heightened by fiction, but that is the allure of being part of a subculture in an otherwise strict society.
