This chapter was a much needed emotional catharsis for both Aoi and Miyako. I'm glad that guy gave them this night to spend together, basically spelling it out to Aoi that he needs to actually care for Miyako and properly respond to her feelings for him (i.e. make time for her emotions).
Perhaps the Wolf Yokai is actually developing the full capacity to feel human emotions aka "a heart" that the alter ego of hers we saw earlier in the mirror say that she could never love like a human.
