Notice, however, that the common element is the uploader, snarkyoldman, who is the one that’s doing all the uploads rather than the usual power uploaders (Arin-san or alphamine)

Maybe he knows something we don’t? Or maybe the recent chs did get deleted somehow and this chap sees it fit to reupload them for the benefit of all.

There's been a LOT of widespread chapter purges on the site. My guess is DMCA takedown requests, that or they were issuing corrections. If the chapters disappear, you can always read the manga on the translation/scanlation team's website.
