I have not read the LN at all, at least this version, so I can't say it's worth it or not. Don't worry, Eru'll get at least 3 later on.

Is that based on Web Novel or Light Novel, because the LN illustrations seems to portray that she might end up with Eru (or atleast that he would finally get a girl in this arc, because the next Arc is about MC's first time based on Noble Customs and then his official marriage with the girls).

I'm pretty sure it's base on LN. I'm sure that Karla being on cover could be a fake-out. As far as I know, Eru has at least 3 wives later on.

Only engaged though. Plenty of time and opportunity for an affair that lets them break it. And they have constantly been portrayed as having more chemistry than she ever had with mc, and it has been covered that a huge part of why she cuddled up to him to begin with is mainly because he is rich. So once retainer-boy gets enough wealth too, it stands to reason she would golddig in his direction instead (particularly as mc has been amassing more wives than she initially expected, since they got engaged).
