The author is not a writer that can bring up interpersonal drama, so everything devolves into power level fights, see almost every isekai and SAO.

Part of the problem (and I read this first in the web novel version. Btw, a future “battle” will take probably 5 volumes of manga to get through unless they nip and tuck it (IMO at least)) is the fact that the whole dungeon is a trap. Welt will get some good loot tho. That said, the damn “dungeon” has two bosses. The one at the start, and this one they’ve just finished off. That said, the web novel didn’t feel as long as this manga portrayed it.

As for the ability to write, this is a country building story and not so much about off to defeat the demon lord story, so things might seem a bit less intuitive?

I can think of at least two other stories that seem to be more drawn out that needed to be honest, and those are Wortenia Senki (web novel has a lot of repetition in it. They did this or that, because this or that so they had to do this or that...) and slave Harem in another world tends to get bogged down with the mc figuring out the worlds mechanics...

I think what’s most painful, is the long wait between chapters. I’d suggest reading the arc from the first dragon statue forward and see if that helps? Mind you, I might wait until c38-40 to do that... might be more fulfilling... (I’m estimating)

@lenovoaxioo i completely agree, it was like "OH NO WE ARE ALL DOOMED!" then it was like "oh nvm i forgot u had that one ability, lol kek ok gg" like i mean... not that i want ppl to die or anything, but maybe if she had sacrificed her life or something there to give him that mana, we would have some actual character development happen, instead it was just kinda like "kek srry guys i didnt read the tooltips for all my abilities"
