Someone just requested to change your MangaDex account's credentials. If this was you, click on the link below to reset them.

@tao - go change your passwords for both mangadex and your email, then set up 2FA for both mangadex and for your email.

getting a credentials email likely means someone tried "Forgot my password" and input your email. this means they don't know your password for mangadex so your mangadex should be fine. and they likely cannot access your email if they didn't complete the reset. but best to be safe. please use 2FA, please install an antivirus on your device, and please don't access any suspicious links or sites.

Could have been part of a data breach list.

What I wanna know is what do you have in your account that's so valuable to hackers

I doubt it's anything. A ton of Hacking/Phishing attempts are just to get passwords for more lucrative accounts (Way too many people reuse passwords for their other accounts). Hackers can get money for a ton of supposedly random accounts these days.

What hackers are after is an email and a password that are attached to a crypto exchange site. Credit cards have strong protection these days. Crypto does not.

Lots of people reuse passwords across their accounts, so hackers take your email and run your known passwords through the usual crypto exchange platforms. If they can get in, they'll transfer out your virtual money without a problem.
