When I heard someone was called the 'monster eater', and they were a dark and gloomy character, I was expecting a back story along the lines of;

"I saw my family get eaten by the monsters of the demon-king's army, and I find immense satisfaction in doing the same to them..."

But no, the dude just likes eating monsters, lol.

Could be a visual novel or a game. The premise dose sound vaguely gamish. A resource management type game about trying to reclaim the demon king's castle sounds like it could be a thing.
