This chapter was a little iffy, the so called friend talks shit about his new girl to his face and the boyfriend barely speaks up for her. He basically conceded the point but says she was nice anyway, I don’t know how conflict adverse you have to be to allow someone to call your very new girlfriend a monster.

Hyena is still cute tho, 6/10.

It’s not like the friend said, “Isn’t she kind of scary” which would fit ALOT better in your context rather than “Isn’t she only like half girl lol”. I would say intent doesn’t really matter at that point, it’s straight up an insult. He didn’t have to get in a fist fight but it takes away from the emotional impact of boyfriend unknowingly affirming Hyena.

Unless something was lost in translation, I can see why people wouldn’t like that.
