I still am not quite sure why we're here? Its like the author decided he wanted to do this daycare scene first and then tried to come up with the quickest route there after lmfao Like everything makes...logistical sense, I guess? Its just very weird execution from a storytelling perspective.

I mean its not THAT weird by itself to have an unintroduced character randomly show up and coerce a lead into doing something, put in a loose definition thats usually how you get arc to arc in stories like these. Its more that the way the girl was written was like she had been here the whole time and was a moving part in the story. I had to go back to previous chapters to double check I wasnt insane.

Nothing about this arc has made any sense to me at all. Haimiya, whose defining feature is that she’s scary and intimidates everyone, gets bullied and blackmailed in the middle of class in front of everyone by an utter rando into doing something she would obviously never do, when she could have easily shut it all down by simply saying, “no, I’m not doing that.”

yeah the whole interacting with kids and calling him daddy arc could have been something like helping at her family's daycare or whatever, this framing story is just nonsense
