Wow. Uhh. That's crazy. That actually takes some guts. Respect for even having the audacity to pull something like this in an attempt to make friends with someone. I guess she's just weird like that, tsunderes man

She a little confused (and dumb, and somehow tsundere'd at the worst possible way and timing, plus accidentally set up her brother for an expose lore dump, plus goddamn her plan was dumb), but she's got the spirit, and want to see her interacting with the gang more.

Also, can probably be good intentional/accidental wingman for them.

Sure, but at least Haimiya has had a better reaction to it all than a lot of other manga characters do lmao. In her position I'd probably be so baffled that I'd just stop being mad at this point, it's just so nonsensical.
It's kinda so stupid it makes it the perfect plan. It's hard to be mad at someone once you realize that what seemed to be their "evil schemes" are actually just dumb nonsense

I feel like a lot of people reading this manga have forgotten what it's like to be a teenager trying to make friends.
Bruh, I don't remember making friends was this ridiculous in my time. If this becomes the standard for making friends in high school, or even middle school these days, I'd rather put my own kids through home schooling, because that makes more sense than any of this crap.

So she's not a bitch, she's just a dumbass. She even outright says she didn't expect the blackmail to work. And to be fair, it only kinda did; Haimiya only went along with it as the path of least resistance, because she figured covering the girl's shifts would be less troublesome than dealing with rumors or gossip. After that, in for a penny in for a pound I suppose.

I agree it's not the best writing, but it's more believable than people think. I know I've done and said stupid things even as a young adult. Things I still cringe about. And the fact that Koyuki was so stupid about it does loop it around to endearingly funny. Especially since she actually put in the effort to provide Haimiya with handouts.

Speaking as someone who has been commonly described and all but explicitly diagnosed as such, Koyuki makes a lot of sense if you interpret her as having the 'tism.

“I think you’re cute and want to be friends with you, so I will dump unpaid emotionally draining labor onto you while one-sidedly antagonizing you and your buddy.”
Ah yes. The “completely out of touch with reality” gambit. Gets friends every time.
The most out of touch part being that she finds managing the horde of gremlins to be “super easy” (p. 19) and fun.

Bro, she vibes great with the kids, there’s no way in hell she’s autistic…

Very narrow-minded to think someone who's autistic can't be good with kids.

Almost like there are different kinds of autism with varying levels of severity.

You might even call it a spectrum.

Almost like all degrees of the spectrum come with having trouble understanding non-verbal clues and implicit social expectations, all of which carpet-gremlins are ripe with…

You want her to be autistic, so you ignore the very obvious signs she isn’t…

We're (yes, WE are) giving her a point on that one. The first phrase she hasn't messed everything up.
