Also you know the whole "rape accusation" in Chapter 1 probably still fucks with him a bit.Because she keeps sending mixed signals, we know she does because she half admitted it to other characters but she is unable to be honest when she is with him.
Also its very obvious to how to get this off this cycle, either add a actual rival so she is forced to commit (and suffer the effects when he doesnt believe her) or she loses her powers that shatters her "perfect" image, the author knows that so he is going to keep going until he either gets tired or the editor starts to push to get the story to its conclusion.
Honestly, in any sane world, any chance at a romantic relationship would die there. The one rule stronger than "Never stick your dick in crazy" is "Absolutely never, under any circumstances, spend time with someone that threatens or even jokes about accusing you of sexual assault."Also you know the whole "rape accusation" in Chapter 1 probably still fucks with him a bit.
I secretly feel like the author forgot he started this whole series with that, is now embarrassed by it and is deliberately drawing this whole series out long enough for people to forget that fact. Also you know the whole "rape accusation" in Chapter 1 probably still fucks with him a bit.
Like legitimately I can only read this series with my brain uninstalled, that first chapter just showcases how little understanding author has of human relationships. I just cannot process the initial setup in any way to take the rest of the series seriously. I wish the art and fanservice was ass but it's not, so here I am.Honestly, in any sane world, any chance at a romantic relationship would die there. The only way the series works with that start is if Shirota was working to escape Takamine's control. The romcom is a new girl character and the misunderstandings caused by being the closet while trying to have a relationship. Which I was actually hoping for with Shirota excelling with this new girlfriend help and eventually destroying Takamine's perfect image.Like legitimately I can only read this series with my brain uninstalled, that first chapter just showcases how little understanding author has of human relationships. At least they've set a confession timing which should pretty much end the series and let it either have a sequel where they don't have the pretence of not being a couple or even better this art is unshackled from this premise or MC. I can only dream of that day, Kendo Girl will do for now .The only way the series works with that start is if Shirota was working to escape Takamine's control. Now it's simply brain off how will Takamine demean Shirota this week.
For any future work, this mangaka should do the art while someone decent does the writing. The art, at least, is fantastic.I wish the art and fanservice was ass but it's not, so here I am.
I feel like a decent editor alone could've done a lot to stop this series starting off in such a horrific way. I don't know if the culture is just that different, the reaction in universe is unconvincing enough. If you start him indebted in a less extreme way, or maybe just being so nice he ends up doing it anyway you could later down the line shift the dynamic slowly without it seeming so bizarre. For any future work, this mangaka should do the art while someone decent does the writing. Have him struggling financially and she pays him to be her closet. He can't say no because he needs the money. Lots of room for awkwardness and conflicts... he doesn't want to confess and potentially lose his benefactor. She doesn't want him to get a part time job because she'd lose her panty slave. etc.If you start him indebted in a less extreme way,
Every now and then I check what people are thinking of this series because I was interested by the time travel aspect but found just trash. The people who like and defend this chick be like:
"Who cares he developed Stockholm Syndrome from being held hostage by a rape accusation threat since Chapter 1. Isn't she just so cute and adorable figuring out her feelings?"
"Look at how well the aquarium date went after kicking him in the nuts. Its only a confirmation of her love that he's too blind to see."
Yeah, that's you right now.... You monsters lmao.
I mean last chapter we saw progress from Shirota and this chapter Takamine-san is smacking him down. At this point in the story we should see someone in the couple making progress.Could you consider this progress? At this point it's just ridiculous how much this girl is trying to not have to be honest to him.
dont waste your time dude, it's incels still seething over the first chapterTakamine is an hilarious tsundere and there's too many ungrateful fucks that can't appreciate her.
She will lie, cheat, steal; gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss; deny, deny, deny rather than show or say plainly she likes Shirota EVEN SO she does so more and more. She actually can't be any clearer already but this doofus is so insecure he doesn't want to believe her!
You have to be an idiot like him to take at face value half of the shit she says.
Of course this isn't an experiment. This is an aquarium date!
They're both impossible but they're finally getting there. Or well, they're going to move in together in college and Shirota will be like omg we're roommates
I don't think they're embarrassed by it.I secretly feel like the author forgot he started this whole series with that, is now embarrassed by it and is deliberately drawing this whole series out long enough for people to forget that fact.
