@chusetto it is as bad in México as it is in Spain, Morikawa just didn't do his research properly. There are other words or expressions he could've used, but chose one that anyone hardly ever uses.
It's sad, up to this point Morikawa had been doing an excellent job portraying other cultures, and mexican boxing. This 'machismo' thing is a big 'oof'.
