Precisely because of all the confusion that escalated, I think it was important for this communication to occur via private message on the forum or something similar. Anyway, my intention was to prevent whoever was vandalising and adding tags that were not there before from reducing the manga's visibility. My point about visibility is exactly that—I understood that tags were being added, someone was deliberately trying to reduce visibility, and I removed them to revert to the original state.Right, so, when you said
it's not just because we blindly "believed" you're doing so, but based on what you have yourself indicated and said. Whether it was done "illegally" from your perspective or not isn't really the issue here.
The important part here isn't whether you were right in doing it or not. As Tristan__ already said, the edit restriction was more to stop you from engaging in the edit war at least temporarily. That's not a big deal in itself, we could've just given it back once you understood the reason and agreed to it.
The actual problem here is what BraveDude8's been telling you: that you have not indicated any reason besides better visibility to justify removing the erotica tag. You've been given arguments as to why it should be tagged as such, you have yet to respond to any of them. As long as you don't respond, we have no choice but to assume that that's your only reason, and so we can't really trust you to tag things correctly.
This is my explanation, now outside of the whole conflict that happened in the PEEP threads. This is the kind of conversation I wanted to have, plain, fair and simple.
On my side, I don't know if what I got was a temporary restriction, a permanent ban, or anything else, on my view, it's permanent. And this was exactly what triggered me.
