Man, sometimes these diatribes feel like over generalisation. But I'd argue it's more so the whole industry that causes those shades of a person's well personality to become so pronounced within it. There is space for non manipulative talents within the space of film and acting, but more often than not it's those who do it with such finesse that clamber up to the peak of industry, not to say artistry, but when they have that position they can just go set their damn trends and assert their artistry as industry standard. And what comes from this is a cycle of just more and more people becoming these types of people producing the same cycle by perpetuation.
