I dont know how this kind of thing supposed to show how good a director mc is

He almost never present in the shooting process, all he did was give some obscure task and let the girls record themselves while doing all the job.
the plot of this manga is to lampshade directing as an actual skill and instead portray it as "more crazy = better director".
its the not-so-subtle bias of the author (who is a different type of artist than the characters he's writing about) downplaying the artistic merit of artforms radically different from his own.

There are many possible reasons for this bias but the most likely is simple resentment; directing a movie will (on average) net you far more recognition (not to mention wealth) than making 80 chapters of manga. This instills within the manga author (who feels slighted) a desire to portray directing as a lesser artform than making manga.

Classic case of artists fighting artists over what "real" art is... if there even is such a thing

Here I thought the author was biased against the artistic skill of directing because they drew manga. And it was actually because directing a movie will (on average) net you far more recognition (not to mention wealth) than being a woman! This instills within the woman (who feels slighted) a desire to portray directing as a lesser artform.
