@Akaeie Indeed, what's wrong with soy sauce? If he's like my nephew who can't eat soy based products because of genetics then sure. But a lot of South East Asian Dish uses soy sauce. This part confuses me.

@nomadicengi and @Akaeie soy sauce uses alcohol as a preservative after fermentation. Alcohol is not halal, so soy sauce that is verified to be halal is soy sauce that has been verified to not use alcohol as a preservative.
