Please let this not be the stereotypical situation of the person reincarnated as the Heroine being a shitty person for no reason and possibly dooming the world because they're not doing it after work towards defeating the Demon King.
Hold my villainess cliche trope.

Catfight next chapter?

Refreshing myself with Chapter 1, our poor black company systems engineer explains that, even in the base game itself the heroine had a horrible personality. So in this case, Serafina is the anomaly, and Stella is the "normal" one.

Which is why it would be an interesting twist if she was actually a nice person. The video game is basically class of 09 except fantasy. It would be a fun twist if the Nicole equivalent was a nice person that had to try to force themselves to be a mean person.

Going by character design and behavior so far, with what little we have been shown, she probably is, but unless she aims to switch from Francis' to Konrad's (or a harem) route (which unfortunately is possible, since she was clearly aiming for an event at the lake) there should be no problem with them working together towards their common goal, though Serafina has already snatched some flags, including the Kappa mascot, from her, which would mean they'd have to find a way to change the plot so the Demon King still gets defeated in the end.

I agree. Two decent people, one inhabiting the cruel villainess, the other the horrible heroine, trying to amend a plot that has already greatly diverged from the original story to save the world (and themselves) is an interesting premise that would possibly elevate it above most of the standard villainess slop.
P.s. I think I'd still prefer it if the heroine really was a manipulative bitch, yet they still worked together in a strained truce out of sheer necessity.

This was fun when the heroine was just missing and we got to see how the story could unfold differently without her and with Serafina not being the cliched villainess. But if we're going in this direction now it certainly seems like it's just going to be the stereotypical, cliched path where the heroine reincarnator basically becomes the villian because she selfishly just does things for herself and doesn't care about the plot because she thinks something like "I'm the heroine so I should get whatever I want" while also getting angry that our MC/villainess isn't just being her cliched in-game self and starts getting bitter/angry about it.

That will suck because I'm sick of that. and making it so that the heroine was always a crazy yandere self-absorbed bitch even in the base game doesn't really solve the problem.

Ok. I really hope we get an explanation on why she is late like that. What the heck was she doing? XD

... You know, the Crown Prince's reaction makes me think he wanted Seraphina to get upset and try to oppose the new relationship... Which means this was a play to get her to pursue him again.

FL-chan being involved (and confused herself) means that she probably pitched it to him as such. She doesn't have the existing relationship with the prince for him to actually mean what he said about her.

And since FL-chan doesn't actually know "Seraphina" at this point, she doesn't have any reason to expect her to do anything else. Which means there's a chance that she's actually trying to help him. She seems confused by Seraphina's reaction too. Though it's more likely an attempt to force the "script". It's just... That doesn't really work without the setup? At the very least, the Prince isn't in on it. He seems genuinely crushed by the acceptance of the "rejection"

Like, in reality this reaction is the best one that FL-chan can have. Now she can be the one to pick up the Prince after he's devastated and build "affintiy points" that way. She needs another method since she wasn't around to do so in the first year. If she had predicted this, then getting the Prince to play hard to get with his fiancee would have been a stroke of genius.

Except... She had no way to predict this. She DOESN'T know that Seraphina would be totally ok with breaking up. Which means that her actions are too weird to be self-serving. The "expected result" of this scheme is terrible for her. She hasn't done the setup. And she knows that, she didn't even have enough "affinity" with the prince for him to be genuine in his rejection.
