Well, she was a school girl who wasn't even sure about her sexual preference at that time. Getting caught between feelings, outside pressure, expectations, etc. isn't that unusual and happens to way more mature people. Never assume malice when stupidity will suffice.

I really do feel for her, but she really hasn't matured enough to realise that once you have broken someone's heart, you're not going to win them over through teasing.

Although I suspect we won't see her again, if we were to divert to her life-story I hope that she goes back to college and comes to terms with who she is. And through her own self-inflicted heartbreak, I want her to accept what she has done and learn from it so that she can find her own source of happiness.

LOL. She almost destroyed Chidori's mental health by turning her into a repressed one too.

Well, you deserved that. Had you been honest with her and faced her feelings head on, you could have still be friends or even lovers at this point.

Let this be a lesson to you all, kids: honesty is always the best policy!

@lightingcloud That's not a typo.

The kana ん can be read as "n" or "m" depending on the context. In the case where it's followed by a "p-" or "b-", it's normally read as "m". Here's an example that I'm sure you've heard before: てんぷら. Tempura. You don't call it "tenpura" right?

That being said, the word "senpai" has been popularized so much in the English community due to all the memes so frankly both romanizations are widely accepted. Some translators just prefer one over the other.

@Greatestwest and @justanothermanganerd I understand your position, but it’s not mandatory that every bad persone depicted should always have a “good motivation” or something like that behind them. Sometimes it’s just okay to leave a character “on the evil side”

She should have been honest with herself... I hope she gets better with being real to herself and others soon (In a non teasing way) and finds true happiness. Love may seem like a game for most but it's really not for others! She needs to be mindful of others feelings that are involved!

No one can be blamed if she still wanted to be seen as norm by the society, well i believe the time this manga was written is the time where sexual preference is a freedom of choice, but still it's her mindset that same sex still not a normal thing.

truly an unhealthy environment that pushed her to denies all her feelings, should've she become honest, the age gap which still a matter in asia truly bothers them

She should've said "fuck everyone" and go after her honest feelings.
She might've had real feelings but she still was cheating while in a relationship and that's a show of character that doesn't get forgotten.
