I'm not here for the drama. Please let them have a cute date together on the school trip!

I for one am more curious about how they solve it. There's potential here, I'm just waiting for the conclusion to see if it was pointless drama just for the sake of it or if there's something to gain from this.

Ohh some spice
As boomer said, you'll fight every once in a while in a relationship, and silly fight like this is many times better than silly drama

This series has been pretty good at handing drama. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out.
Bet it'll be cute. Series is too cute for it not to be.

I think the fault is shared to a 80/20. 20% on Chidori because yeah keeping secrets to your GF is not nice but in all honestly it's not something you can say to your GF. 80% to Nanoha because girl, you're in 2nd year of High school. Why the hell did youact like you're 8yo ? Yeah your GF keep some secrets from you but don't you trust her enough to know she won't cheat ? Yeah she is getting along with Mai but isn't that a good thing ? Can't you just explain yourself instead of sulking on something like that ? It's obvious that Chidori will be pissed to get ignored because of that.

This is 100% fucking realistic lmao. Girls tend to get mad at the simplest thing and it starts going down in spiral from there. Argument will go from small to big and in the end they don't even know why are they arguing anymore. But it all get solved up with some smoochy lovey dovey apology.

Seems like there's no escaping the usual "school trip = drama". I had hoped they learned something from their brief scuffle regarding Chidori's weight gain not long ago about communication but I guess that's too much to be expected of a series like this.

I just want to get over with this pointless drama and back to the fluff.

@Lilliwyt I'll somewhat defend Nanoha here. From her perspective, Chidori has been whispering with a mutual female friend, and when Nanoha asked a reasonable question about what they talked about, Chidori responds by blushing and saying "Its a secret." I'm sure Nanoha trusts Chidori, but its still a rather alarming thing to hear from your girlfriend. I think its entirely reasonable for Nanoha to be a bit upset, and want to have lunch away from Chidori to calm down before trying to talk with her.

That said, Nanoha shouldn't have tried to tease Chidori while upset. That's never a good idea, since your actual anger tends to bleed through and it makes the "joke" look mean or petulant, as happened here. And I think Chidori has every right to be pissed about Nanoha doing that, especially in public. I'm not arguing that Nanoha is the victim, rather I'm arguing that the blame here is closer to 50/50 than 80/20. That makes for good drama, in my opinion, and is why I like this arc.

Somehow, when Mai was introduced, I really didn't think Nanoha would end up being the one on the jealous end, so at least from that perspective, this is a surprise to me.

I wonder if this spat will be how the friends get the aha moment and figure it out for sure.

Gone through the part with the Senpai, where you said you'll work everything out together. Next thing you know your girlfriend is chatting and laughing with another girl, slightly ingoring you on your trip to text her and when asked about it, the reponse is "It's a secret" while smiling and slightly blushing. Reasonable to get a bit upset and jealous over, as for being childish I mean they are only 17 or so? I can still be pretty childish now, nevermind back then.

@mirewitch Well said. They're both being a bit immature, and they both have justified reasons to be upset. And underneath it all, I think everyone reading knows that it's not that serious, so you don't get that super anxious feeling that comes with heavy drama. Every relationship will inevitably have its ups and downs, and this one is no exception. I think that's part of what the mangaka is trying to portray here.

I'm with Chidori here, if you are going to be mad at your SO the very least you can say is "I'm upset with you right now" and talk about it! Nanoha is being pretty childish here and it is infuriating. Also, Chidori never doubted Nanoha when Mai tried to get in the middle of them and she expressed those concerns to Nanoha! Dunno, it bothers me more that it should mainly because I've been in relationships like that. I don't care if my SO has secrets with someone else, I don't have an ownership over them after all and we don't have to share everything.
