Very sweet chapter again i feel weird praising this but in the saturation of trash we have it really deserves to be praised im talking of course about the simple thing of talking about your feelings and sharing whats in your heart with your partner which makes you both increase the trust in each other and leave no misunderstandings, damn just saying that gave me a semi.

Pretty slow volume tbh Mai-chan got in the way and stopped the good progress from last volume and the school trip had this stupid silly fight (also Mai-chans fault lol) but this chapter was very satisfying tbh.

I hope the next volume we resume with the good progress on the romance now that Nanoha and Chidori are more comfortable with physical intimacy and are looking for it i hope we also get more of it and that we get more chapters with just the two of them those were sorely lacking here.

Cant believe we're gonna have to wait even more on that bath scene .......

Damn this series was super fun glad i took it up.

Omg Chidori basically proposed to her and in a church of all places!!!!

I can see why people think Chidori was manipulated into apologising or whatever, but if you reread it, you will see that she only says what she does after Nanoha very clearly states that she was being stupidly jealous and Nanoha does apologise during that, she just didn't use "I'm sorry". And also, Chidori is aware of what the problem was at this point. That's why she cuts her off. She just needed to hear her voice out her feelings before saying anything. Her apology here was also unsubstantial if you look at the panels, the important bit was her reaffirming and reassuring Nanoha, basically nipping any future chance of this happening again in the bud.

They better fucking take that bath together after all this lol.

Yeah this whole volume feels kinda .... pointless? in a way, i mean this is what theyd already resolved in the previous arc but well i guess this was more of a prolonged feeling of jealousy and complicated feelings along with their stupid little first fight? Igurashi-senpai came and went.

But cmon they were pretty close and had reafirmed their feelings their already....

Well i might just be salty cuz a good vibe was going on in the festival before Mai rolled along but this sort of silly jealousy accompanies a first love i guess.

Also this chapter is a very nice pay off.

Phew this manga is great just 4 months ago i first went through it but this re-read felt very nice and fresh truly one of my fav. Yuri mangas, cant wait for the next volume.

Just caught up to the Adachi to Shimamura light novel and loved it, top Yuri material along with this recommend to anyone looking for good Yuri.

@JustCallMeDaBoss To me this volume has a very clear point to it, which is to introduce some turmoil into their relationship and see how they fare. Every couple seems perfect when nothing ever goes wrong - but that doesn't last forever. This series is very much a slow build, watch their relationship grow type story. Part of that growth is having them run into emotionally difficult situations and overcoming it.

As far as Mai goes, I think she's a lovely character. She strikes me as someone who went into this with an "I'm gonna steal her away" type mindset, but she's far too soft hearted to see it through, so before long she becomes something of a wingwoman, giving Chidori genuinely good advice and encouragement. (Which is what lead to the fight - but I don't think anyone can reasonably believe that was Mai's intent). She's a rather unique take on the love rival role, in my opinion. I'm hoping she sticks around after her arc is finished.

Yeah and thats what makes it so good that slow build up that truly shows us both characters stances and views on the relationship and seeing them grow closer to each other, but the problem i kinda have is that we were treated to that long build up for a long time and there was finally this explosion of emotions in the firework scene and subsequent chapters finally giving us them acting like a couple after all the insecurities/obstacles they overcame in the past chapters but then it just went full fucking stop with the introduction of Mai, she takes center stage and we have no more Chidori x Nanoha, just seeing them from afar in Mai's pov so it feels like we somehow regressed since we're back to the start, no dates, no just the 2 of them, which i feel would have been better to take center stage for a while after their kiss and the good mood from the school festival.

Not only that after theyre finally together again most of the chapters are spent with them apart since theyre having their fight, so we literally only get like 3-4 chapters of them finally being a couple and then that full stop is just very noticeable.

Maybe its also that well we're left right here were theyre finally together again but no more chapters, if there was more it wouldn't be so noticeable i guess.

Still i do like Mai a lot as you said she kinda comes in with an idea of trying to steal Nanoha but shes just too much of a good girl to actually try anything and cant help but feel bad about getting in the way and notice just how much Chidori and Nanoha love each other, the moment were its shown what a truly caring person she is, is when even when being mad at Chidori at her problems of the bath and agonizing she wont ever be able to do that she still cheers her up and gives her advice.

Hell i still remember myself defending her character when she appeared cuz she looked interesting but everyone was giving her shit and how her public opinion did a complete 180 in 1 chapter from outta nowhere leaving me feeling really befuddled lol like the comments went from "fuck this girl why is she even here" to "harem ending so that Mai gets her deserved happiness" in 1 chapter which i find pretty funny.

That part in the church and the promise of marriage was really sweet. Shame homosexual marriage is illegal in Japan.

Reason why the apology was unsatisfying to me at least was because when Chidori was jealous of Mai being close to Nanoha she clearly stated right away that she was jealous, there wasn’t any drama involved and she mentioned how she wants to get to know Nanoha better. But in this situation Nanoha was jealous and stubborn. She didn’t try to look back at that situation and think “maybe I should apologize first and not be stubborn about this.” She only thought near the end. She did realize her mistake but it was forced rather than her properly coming to that conclusion. I’m really glad though that Chidori is mature in this relationship so far being able to lay down her stubbornness even if she is in the right to wait for the apology. (Also the fact that the one friend who was with Chidori talked about her apologizing to Nanoha but the friends with Nanoha didn’t say shit about her apologizing to Chidori.)
