I should’ve known it was another girl but that note about it being an all girls school reminds me just how much I normalize heterosexuals as the default 😭

I think it's more about putting the hint in context. If Mizusawa was a man, the "I like sweet things" will be a wayyyyy too subtle hint and more of a "I'm there for you", "I'll accompany you through your heartbreak" kind of friend caring for another friend. With Mizusawa being a girl it's an effective hint.

i'm sure there have prolly be similar stories, either in manga or real life where it's like "all girls school"/temporarily dating girls as a 'phase' but still ended up meeting/getting a bf that goes to another school if not them kissing like a male teacher
(although depending on your feelings it might hurt more that they have a same-sex partner/bi rather than being 'fully straight')

no we just live in reality, and it’s default hetero like 999999.99, and it sucks also it’s a troupe bruh! nothing realistic about it, ESPECIALLY who in hell does that in Japan ? kissing right there in the middle of the classroom?

I mean I ain’t in Japan so idk. But the point is that fictional stories are fiction. Superheroes don’t exist yet we love those stories. I was just saying that I was bringing my realism to this fictional setting even though I found this manga under the “girl’s love” tag. I should be going with the fiction.
