Actually if you dislike what you find ugly, you're a normal human being. On the contrary, being attracted to something you find ugly is unnatural, and that doesn't only hold for humans mind you.If you dislike someone cause they are ugly, you are shallow and evil.
You seem to not realize that if Monpui was not there the hero would have had an actually competent healer that didn't get in through connections, and would not have been "on the verge of dying 86 times". Which to be sure, is a "conclusion" Monpui came to in order to brag (if it was not obvious), the hero didn't seem to be dying any time soon."Fantasies"?!? What is your problem? It's right there on page 5.
Actually if you dislike what you find ugly, you're a normal human being.
There's nothing controversial about my statement, it's related to human biology:Please don't generalize us all into your disgusting, narrow world view.
There is also evidence that a preference for beautiful faces emerges early in infancy, and is probably innate, and that the rules by which attractiveness is established are similar across different genders and cultures.
He deserves no respect whatsoever for being an ass and using his connections to get in the hero party and troll the members (if you're unaware what he did is illegal irl, and ethically wrong on several levels). Him being ugly is just poetic, since it reflects perfectly his inner self.I'm saying he doesn't deserve disrespect or an expensive pass just because he is ugly.
Oh sweet irony. You see what you want to see in others, do you?Mangalon is right, you do seem to be projecting something here. And when replying to him you seem way more triggered than him.
It was a reply to a concern of yours. You had interpreted Monpui as serving a crucial role in the party and not being terrible, I simply clarified that this does not follow from the text. You're free to defend your claims by using the text. And no, page 5 with Monpui bragging, and half the page being sarcasm does not support your statement. But I already cleared up that he is not amazing. Why can't you understand English?
For all we know the hero is alive despite having Monpui. I never claimed he was the worst healer ever, that's a strawman. He's still depicted as fairly terrible, cowardly, unreliable, and having a shit personality. Him being ugly is just the cherry on top and was likely done intently by the author (it's a standard trope): https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BeautyEqualsGoodnessYou should not act like he is the worst healer ever, since the hero IS still alive.
Another strawman: I never claimed that you need to be a slave to your instincts. Disliking what you find ugly is not being a slave to your instinct, it's a completely natural reaction. Whether you blatantly act unfairly towards people you find ugly is a different matter.I know about that, but we are not be slaves to our instincts.
Supposing this is the case, you can walk away from a position if you deem that you are unfit for it, especially if there are better candidates to fill in that spot. Instead Monpui does the opposite: he's actively sabotaging his party members, either intentionally or not.Monpui doesn't understand how his uncle was pulling the strings to get him elected (usual case in nepotism)
I encourage you to provide an argument for this claim (using the text), as well as the rest of the statements that you made. The manga is a critique of some societies' flaws. Like judging people based on their looks and nepotism.
That's a nice mix of bigotry, jumping to conclusions, and red herringing. I am not even sure where to start, but since the burden of proof is on you regarding your claims, I can just as easily dismiss those until you provide satisfactory argumentation. To put it simply: you keep making statements without much to back those up instead relying on logical fallacies. There's only so much patience one can have. You don't seem to understand that word since that applies to you. I'm carefully rereading your comments and keeping my biases at bay. I work in mental health and just want to help. I don't want to see you bully people in the future just for their looks.
