The stepdad energy in this thread is worrying me a little. I don't usually comment on manga forums, but the desperate white knights having a melty trying to defend this manga should have a minimum of self-respect because it's sad to see. At least they are a minority.

looking at the tag, this implied that it is going to the wholesome territory.
is the elephant in the room problem resolved?
i still can't get over with how they start the story (based on all the context of the first 5 ch, let's say your friends wanna stay over but is with a child, and just asking with no explanation, the classic bait n switch, just drop heavy question with explanation later on)
anybody interested to tell the tale told?

God I love this story. This is actually one of the first manga's I picked up and I love how incredibly wholesome the entire manga is although there's some fanservice here and there doesn't change the fact this story writing is peak.

Let's see. From reading the synopsis it's clear it's a manga with that type of mc, there are 224 comments in 22 chapters. Yeah...this is definitely not for me.

Edit: Could someone who sees this comment once it ends be so kind as to inform me if he ends up with the daughter, as that is the only way I'd enjoy this manga. It's unlikely to happen but it doesn't hurt to leave this edit here in case.

Dad was out of the picture a long time ago, dude was already dead before the daughter could start forming memories, she didn't "crawl back" because the Dad was out of the picture, she "crawled back" because she had no place to stay and no family to rely on.

I think is mentioned in the Christmas chapter, dude died so quickly he couldn't even sign the birth certificate, basically was just her and the daughter for 14 years.

Don't forget the whole present day, she is super apprehensive about getting into a relationship... but years ago she dumped the dude and then swiftly got into a relationship that produced a child...

I don't know. Once I found out her history and who the father is, it really took me out of the story. The mom's behavior suddenly doesn't make any sense.

She is apprehensive because of her daughter, the daughter has been her priority for 14 years, so is hard to be open to a relationship.

Fair enough, the manga only gives some crumbs of backstory from time to time and the reader have to fill the gaps little by little, so i don't fault people who have a problem with the manga.
