ITT, gross assholes say gross shit. Par for the course on MD

Anyway, the cracks in Ryuu's polycule are starting to show. While Yuzu may be happy with her self-appointed queen bee role, Madoka clearly isn't. Yuzu mentioned Madoka's "jealousy" before, and we now see that her misery may run deeper than that.

The problem, as Koharu said a few chapters back, is that Ryuu doesn't see his wives as partners or equals. To him, they're a collection of sex toys. As a family, they're not engaged in any collective effort toward shared goals. They just happen to live together.

So long as Ryuu was wealthy and everyone's wants were indulged, that probably didn't matter. Money does a lot to soothe social discomfort. But now that they're poor and crammed together, the emptiness of their shared life is hard to ignore.
