Problem is you can't buy real love and affection, and Koharu isn't willing to fake it. That's a sign of character on her part. Ryuu paid for a marriage, for a wife, and he got exactly what he paid for: a signed contract and a ceremony. Beyond that, she doesn't owe him anything more than the cold shoulder he's currently getting.

If he wanted to win her over, he could try. But he's not trying at all. He's simply demanding access to the hole he thinks he purchased and pouting when he doesn't get it. I have no respect for him at all.

The real question is whether Koharu can stand the result. She's perfectly within her rights to freeze Ryuu out and keep the other wives at arm's length, but by doing so, she's creating a horrible home environment for herself.
