I was expecting the twist, but it still hurts.
Thanks for the chapter, and for consistency I wouldn't change fonts at this point if it were me.

This was a good chapter in a great manga. Thanks for the update!

Also is Tama a ghost cat? I am slightly convinced but not entirely.

man, I honestly thought Tama was like Chiharu's Grandpa's ghost reincarnated or something. Ghost kitty makes more sense, but equally sad.

So wait, Tama's been a ghost/spirit this whole time which only Rui can see?
I went back to check and Kurumi did see and talk to Tama back in chapter 4. So maybe the "monster that only kids can see" are all the kittens that were abandoned there :meguuusad:

Not only Rui, many children saw it.
During the storm chapter, in the last splash page, it was see-through; there were also multiple instances where we saw its altar besides grandpa's.

"I even died my hair green..."
"Yeah, but the manga is black and white, so it didn't make any difference..."
"What?"
"What?"

Interestingly, I reread it, and there was one instance where a child walking with their mother said "Look, there's a cat," and the mother was like what, where? So I think this is the idea that children are more attuned to perceiving the spiritual world than adults, and can see Tama's ghost.
