It might be obvious that the blacksmith’s lip and eye scar are from his injuries in the flashback, but you can also see that Kiri, his daughter, also has a star-shaped scar on her forehead, and in the flashback her forehead is bleeding!
Very cool attention to detail.

I agree that it's her in the flashback, but I'm not sure she's his daughter. I didn't get father-daughter vibes from them.

Okay this artstyle did catch me like not many things have so far, i reaaaaaaally like it. Even the way he draws the lil elven girl in the first chapter shes so cute.

I hope this continues without diminishing art.

It's already said how good the art is, but one thing I particularly like is how the artist went through the fine line between making Haten beefy without going full on "steroid muscle man", you would think it would be easy to do but it's actually pretty hard, many artist just give up and make their protag either wimpy fucks with no muscle, or go to the other extreme and make HE-MAN.

The art is good, but the biggest plus for me is the emotions. These “vignette” style story telling have been VERY good at setting up gut wrenching emotions in very little pages. And this have been great at showcasing how much of a true “folk hero” he is.

It seems like we gonna get a full volume of stories about people being in debt to him, THEN we get his flashbacks. Like who is he, where is is come from.
