High key, as much as this is an adorable love story between the two, she really fuckin pissed me off with her "but I want to get married to someone like Fukuizumi-san." I'm glad she got called out for it. It's so fuckin self-centered, dishonest, and shallow. That you'd fall in love with someone, and in a sense keep leading them on by showing them constant affection, but choosing to marry someone else that you don't even really like just because they're an "elite." Like holy shit balls that's all kinds of fucked, it's not cute at all and shouldn't be dismissed on how actually shitty that mentality is. Idgaf what kind of history she had growing up, she's a full on adult now with a stable full-time job. There isn't a need for her to be so shallow and egotistical in trying to seek out some rich boy for a loveless marriage outside of a unhealthy obsession with wanting material comfort. And just as the coworker said, that's extremely unfair to the "high class" person she decides to marry as well, that she's only marrying him for shallow reasons and doesn't actually love him. Honestly, I wish the coworker went a little harder in calling her out for that, she was too gentle imo for something pretty despicable.
