I looked at some kids work with division and for some reason schools really want to do a very roundabout way of solving the problem when you can simply just do it the way the chapter did. It really makes no sense.

Been a while cince I used that symbol, so I forgot how to use it. Used to the top-down/fraction-esque structure. Still, can't say that I like how technology essentially makes basic tasks obsolete to the point it has.

I used all the time in elementary. Its a more compact way to write division and a easier way to do division.
