Why is Shima so beautiful? Haruko's hostess friend with the cosmetic surgeries looks like a stick figure next to her. Is this going to be a plot point in the future?

I had a hot pot dinner for close to $100 a few weeks ago with some coworkers. Not worth. A $50 buffet would have been better, but nothing beats the approx $2 street food I can get in my home country.

I’ve had really expensive food, some fancy Japanese style hotpot. It was meh, the $30 one near my house is better. The street food back home is irreplaceable tho

Both have a different starting point : Kuraki is introduced as someone who didn't know how to have fun until she learned to. Shima is learning that
she can have fun like she used to do as a teenager. Now, for a personal opinion, I like that she's introduced as being victim of her daily work life, contrary to Endou or Maruyama
