This is the first time I don't entirely agree with Mamoru... Being civil-minded is one thing, but this time he ended up disturbing an entire neighborhood in order to save a dumbass from being inconvenienced by the consequences of their own distraction. And I'm saying this even though I once was that same dumbass.

I disagree. None of the people inconvenienced would have lifted a finger to help the man who's cars lights where on. Only those who could match his efforts or resolve it differently should have a say.

He may have annoyed a few people but he's a savoir to someone. If anything, it shows that Mamoru is consistent about not being a bystander. That's commendable.

And if anything, a car with a dead battery is more of a hassle for everyone involved than someone yelling for a minute or two.

I think the main issue at hand would be the amount of time spent shouting but based on what is presented it wasn't very long so I doubt it would be grounds for something like public nuisance charges.

I largely agree, but I think it's debatable, based on the amount of time he was yelling and how many people can hear him. It's a classic utilitarian argument, the most extreme version is the classic "would you rather one person be killed or one trillion people get a speck of dust in their eye?" lol.
