That was an awesome second chapter.
Hatori is one motivated and thorough guy. If Furuta is the one who finds and chases after cool things, Hatori is the one to analyze them in detail and do the follow-through. I can see why their adventuring together would be mutually beneficial.
I had no idea I would care this much about a technically still completely inconsequential baseball machine. It really doesn't matter whether or not the duo hits the ball, but at the same time, it somehow does? The intrigue of a dead inventor slaving his life away to create a magic ball is oddly relevant to this series, which is all about passion.
Can't wait to see more. This could very well be something special.
