@sterven That might have been her plan. she needs to create a disparity between tarou`d feeling for her and for eve. she cant let tarou forgive her.

so if she knows that what ever answer she gives, he might still forgive her. even if its a bad one, he might still think something like: she is lying and has a better reason for it but cant say it.

so not giving an answer at all and letting him work it out himself in his head. he needs to love her even a little or else he cant love eve.

After reading the comments, I thought that Eve's story was what actually happened and what we thought what happened was from the "story" that Ibusuki "told" if you will.

I don't even know who's telling the truth and who's telling the lie.

I thought it was implied that eve is lying and getting corrupted, what with the hint of the dark bubble in her last line.
It can also explain the look she gave ebino and tarou after she transformed back. Hard to say though since we weren't shown that Ririsu actually did what Eve said, but at the same time we weren't shown too much, just some scenes. I'd lean towards Eve lying though personally.

Did I miss something? When did Tarou acknowledges that Ibusuki is a girl? I thought that he had suspicions that Ibusuki is a girl but doesn't want to pursue/acknowledge it but in this chapter he's already using "she" for Ibusuki. Or is it just a translation thing?

edit: my bad, yeah Tarou should've used 'him' to refer Ibusuki when he was talking to Ebino.

Man, since gender is difficult to pin down in Japanese conversation, this manga kept flip-flopping back and forth between him and her.

Now we know that Evil Eve is in the house and trying to keep Tarou all for her self. :-o

None of this is Eve's fault. Ririsu convinces Eve that it's for Tarou with a bunch of bullshit half truths and half-baked knowledge, she and Ebino fuck up and Taoru feels betrayed. No shit she turns in to a heart break. She's still a heartbreak. Anyways fuck Ebino and Ririsu in specific. She fucks everything up and then leaves. Thank god this shit ends in like 8 chapters, unfortunately it probably isn't going to end well.

HOLY SHIT I JUST REALIZED Eve said "Demon that seduced Tarou". Didn't Tarou's dad say something like that? I don't think Ibusuki has ever heard that line.
At this point I think Ibusuki's justification for doing all of this is that if Tarou stayed with Eve he will die (And she likes him). Whether or not it's valid, I don't know, but things are getting spicy for sure

I like how everyone suddenly calls Eve an actual demon while also seeing the fact that she is not back to her usual self and just ignore the 100+ chapters where she was doing literally anything to help the MC. She even was ok with Ebino making her go to sleep by making Tarou fall in love with her. But let's just make as if all of that never happened and she was hiding her true self for this long. Also, Ibusuki literally tricked 3 people at the same time just so she wouldn't be bested by her 'better self'.

@Vrizu Ah it's been quite long and I have bad memory, so I was just still assuming that Tarou knows that Ibusuki is a girl but he doesn't acknowledge it no matter what and still treats him as a guy, the translation this time just confuses me and I know how sometimes its very vague to translate he/she from jp to EN, so maybe its that.

If her plan was to create a rift between eve and the MC I don't know how that would cause Eve to disappear. According to what i understood her intent all along was to get the MC to fall in love with Ebino and make her go to sleep alleviating the MC from Eve.

As to Eve going darkside I think that it's because of the MC. She is after all his delusion of a perfect girl based off his first love, so after the truth was revealed he needed an explanation as to why Eve would go along with scheming bitch. This desire for an explanation as might have caused her to lie, but this is just me speculating so lets see what happens.
