No one can be proved by the internal logic of this story to have been correct about Ebino, Eve, or Ibusuki. The story itself has been internally inconsistent, which is to say that its internal logic has had an element of nonsense to it, which renders all such proof out-of-reach. What will happen will happen without making sense.

Anytime someone starts their version of the truth with the statement 'Will you believe my side of the story' automatically throws a red flag. Why would I NOT believe your side of the story if you are telling the truth? Are you planning on lying and hoping that some emotional attachment that I have to you will make me believe what you are trying to tell me? If you're going to tell me the truth of what happened you just tell me what happened. If I choose to then say you are lying then it's a different story. Tarou has never accused Eve of lying before so why the need for this emotionally loaded statement before her recollection of the events.

The purpose of every First Love Zombie, nay the GOAL of every FLZ is the realization of the love that created them in the first place. This is buried in the psyche of every male in this manga. When his first love is realized then the FLZ disappears (or passes on to be more precise). The FLZ is a direct representation of the desires of the man/boy. Even though Eve has her own personality she is still a reflection of Tarou's feeling. That he fell in love with his FLZ is an anomaly in and of itself that breaks the standard.

TLDR - Eve is lying to some degree and I'll just wait to see where the author takes this before I pass judgement on this manga as a whole.

@woks wtf you mean she didn't do anything? SHE LITERALLY was the one that made everything worse. She pretends to be a boy, which led to Tarou not being able to "release" Eve. Then, instead of coming clean and letting Eve pass on, SHE CONTINUES the facade and then FORCEFULLY tries to kill/sleep Eve in an attempt to control. All she had to do was say "I am a girl, and I like you, but I am so fucking stupid I decided to stay single" and Eve would have passed on normally.

The only person "fucking stupid" here is the person thinking Ririsu did nothing wrong.

Don't forget, the whole reason why she wanted Eve to stick around was for her "revenge".
