I will mention I don't think this is a bad idea, it's just that I don't think it'll be usefull enough to warant the work needed. What I will say is that if something like this can be implimented in the rumored v5, then great. here's my opinion on your response:
-tolling: sure they can dm on discord or smt, but that takes more effort than just going on all series and going to the recruitment tab and then doing the application process (whatever it may be) for every group to fill their inboxes. that's why i used the word: low-effort. I do agree that it won't be big issue, but as this thread has shown, there are people who do this spam to annoy people. (this also brings into question how groups who work on multiple series apply on multiple pages, i guess a tab for groups who worked on the series, but then dropped projects and all that).
-forgetting tab: a timer would work, and depending on how it's done, yea a group can probaby close it when they find someone. I will mention that someone said
-accessibility: I said what I said because of how I get see motivation, the people who put in the extra effort (in this case direct contact where future contact would be vs. no external work a sign that the first is gonna give more quality than the latter), so I guess fair enough since I was affected by personal bias. I do think credit pages are enough personally
-extra step: I mean, yea i wasn't suggesting to do group work here either, just that it all leads to the same place in the end (recruitment tab vs. direct contact) and feel that too many options is a bad thing, so once again, personal bias here.
Aside: visibility, if the groups properly asks for what they need (like series specific or non series specific), which is often, then it should be obvious enough, if they aren't... then i think there's misorganisation going on
tl:dr suggestion isn't bad, it's just not something I consider worthwhile while the whole site issupposedly being reworked for v5.

which i think is a important reminder cause you'd work for groups where you read many of their series and so that brings into question if they have to apply on multiple serie's links and all that. Again, all group dependant.> would also need to actively make chapters
Of course you have to actively release chapters. If you release 1 chapter per year I don't think any one would like to join this group.
