if the guys a serial killer, it's hard to really pity him. That said, it still shows their lack of character. Evil men monologue, torment, and play with their foes. Good men simply kill them, as they would rather be done with it.

I have read all the way ahead in the web novels, far past the fan translation of those. This series has an intriguing take on romance; things don't go so smoothly as they do in most other stories like this, but there is an incredible amount of passion in a certain relationship.

There are four volumes of light novel that changed some things (you can see those listed on novelupdates). Including adding a female swordsman to Kondo's group apparently? (I haven't bought the LN, but that was mentioned on a webnovel author's note).
