I mean, I already read this far so I can't pretend to be surprised by how shallow the psychology of this is but it truly is.
The author has made it so surface level, the guy doesn't have justifiable anger about the situation (despite actually having it once he broke the programming on his brother earlier). He is able to express that he doesn't want to be chained down to a relationship with an abusive obsessive partner though? It's so strange, why would he even consider any point of reconciliation when he's already been exiled?
Why even reconciliation, the werewolf's brother was once kind. These fucking caricatures of bullies haven't displayed even the slightest aspect of human brotherly interaction with him. You can't rebuild something that wasn't there and correction needs to be applied for past wrongs before you can even start over. I fucking despise this dogshit form of forgiveness or reconciliation, no one on the planet with the power to enact their will doesn't take a corrective action.
