Wait, so the boss doesn't give anyone experience and it gives larger amounts of SP? Sounds like the boss gives everyone the same advantages his unique skill gives him. Why isn't it a common strategy to grind the boss? Unless defeating the boss kicks you out of the dungeon so you would have to gain XP from the mobs again to attack the boss again, in which case a carry strategy would be slow but effective.

I'm kinda curious if it'll be a reveal later that the level up system going by your "base stats" for level-up is just based on your level 1 stats, which are typically non-boosted, but in his case are now in the hundreds. So he could be worrying about not leveling up all the time, and then when the author needs to have him level up, surprise, he gets a bajillion stats instead.

as convenient as "bosd monster doesn't give exp" for mc is, when you think about it: if whoever makes this system in-universe cares enough to not make any skills to only have downsides, they probably thought up of the exp situation for mc's skill and thus put that condition for boss monster with that unique skill in mind

ofc at the end of the day, this os just conveniece for the sake of progressing the mc narrative-wise

I was thinking that he'd think himself as weak and just keep grinding, but as long as he understands he's getting stronger and isn't insecure, all's good.
